Dr Johnston joined the Practice in September 2012 as a salaried GP and became a partner in April 2013. Previously she was a salaried GP in Settle, North Yorkshire and a GP partner in Silloth.
As well as working in the Practice, Dr Johnston is also the Clinical lead for our local Integrated Care Community (ICC) and is interested in preventative health and general wellbeing. She also attends the practice patient participation group (PPG) meetings.
In her spare time, she enjoys running and Thai boxing.

Dr Rath qualified at the Medical School of Hanover, Germany in 1992. After 4 years voluntary work in Zimbabwe he started GP training in Newcastle. After completing the training he worked for 8 years as a GP partner in Stowmarket, Suffolk.
Dr Rath moved with his family to Ulverston in 2011 and joined the practice in April 2013. He became a partner in July 2013. He covers all aspects of General Practice and provides continuity of care for our patients.
His special interests are dermatology, travel/tropical medicine, diabetes, minor surgery, palliative care, antenatal care and child health.
Occasionally Dr Rath works for the out of hours service (CHOC) and supports St Mary's Hopsice.

Dr Brockbank joined the practice in March 2015 and became a partner in May 2015, after completing her GP training in a neighbouring Practice. She worked for a short time in Kendal but was keen to work closer to home in Ulverston.
Her special interests are women's health, contraception, sexual health, and she holds the letters of competence for insertion of contraceptive implants.
The Health Care Assistant plays an important role in the Practice. She assists the nursing team and GPs and carries out a variety of duties such as, blood tests, new patient health checks, annual disease management reviews and blood pressure checks.
The practice manager is involved in managing all of the business aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology. The practice manager supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.
Assistant Practice Manager
The assistant practice manager plays an important role within the Practice and deputises for the Practice Manager in her absence.
In addition to this role Jenny has other administrative duties, which help in the day to day management of the practice.
All of our administration staff are trained chaperones. If you would like a chaperone to be present during an examination or consultation please let the receptionist know when you book your appointment or when you check in.
Julie is our Practice Medicines Manager. She works alongside the GPs and Community Support Pharmacist.
Our trained receptionists provide an important link for between patients and the practice. They are your initial point of contact for general enquiries
They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query.
Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses.
As our Senior Receptionist, Steve has responsibility for the smooth running of our reception and admin teams.
Steve is an initial point of contact for the reception and admin team and organises the GPs appointment pages. In addition to this role Steve has other administrative duties, which help in the day to day management of the practice.
