You can request repeat medication in the following ways:

• In person- drop your computerised counterfoil in the drop box in the main foyer on the ground floor with the required items clearly marked.
• Online– via the link at the top of this page (new users are required to register; please ask at reception). Please use/download the NHS App
• By post- send it to us with a stamped addressed envelope if you want us to post it back to you.

Prescriptions are processed daily until 14:00. If your prescription is put in after this time it will be processed the following day.

The health centre pharmacy is situated on the ground floor and is open between 09.00 - 13:00 and 14:00 - 18:00 Monday to Friday.

Please note, we no longer accept prescription requests over the telephone.

It may take seven full working days for prescriptions to be processed by us and be ready to collect from your Pharmacy. Weekends and bank holidays are not included. We cannot control when your prescription will be ready to collect at your nominated Pharmacy so please contact them directly.

You can submit a repeat prescription request upto 10 working days before your medication is due.

It is extremely important that all Patients on repeat medication must have a medication review once a year.  Our staff are able to identify all patients who are due a review and will ask a GP or our inhouse pharmacist to look at this around the anniversary date of your medication review. You may be contacted by one of our GP's or the Pharmacist to discuss further.

Once completed. if everything is ok, the GP or pharmacist will re authorise your repeat medication for a further 12 months.

Take it to the pharmacy you got it from or bring it in to the surgery. Do not put it in your household bin or flush it down the toilet.

About pharmacists

As qualified healthcare professionals, pharmacists can offer advice on minor illnesses such as:

• coughs
• colds
• sore throats
• tummy trouble
• aches and pains
• insect bites
• skin problems

They can also advise on medicine that you can buy without a prescription.

Many pharmacies are open until late and at weekends. You do not need an appointment.

Most pharmacies have a private consultation room where you can discuss issues with pharmacy staff without being overheard.

When phoning the practice for an appointment we may signpost you to a local pharmacy who may be able to deal with your symptoms quicker.
