New arrangements introduced in January 2015, mean GP practices now have the option to register patients who live outside the practice area but without any obligation to provide home visits.

If you fall into this category, we will process your registration under the new out of area arrangements.

This means you can still be registered with us, attend the practice and receive the full range of services provided as normal at the surgery but the practice will not provide you with a home visit should you need one.

Q: What do I do if I need a home visit?

A: If you have an urgent care need and the surgery cannot help you at home, you can call NHS 111 and they will put you in touch with a local service (this may be a face to face appointment with a local healthcare professional or a home visit where necessary)

Q: What if I am not happy with this new arrangement?

A: You can register with a Practice closer to you, who currently includes the area you live within their Practice boundary and will be able to provide home visits if you need one. You can visit the NHS Choices website for further information on
