Dr Johnston & Partners is an established 3 Partner Practice and is part of Morecambe Bay CCG.

We have a professional and dedicated management team as well as an excellent reception, admin and nursing team.  They are always on hand to help our patients and provide them with the necessary information about the services we offer.

Julie Kennedy

Practice Manager

The practice manager is involved in managing all of the business aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology. The practice manager supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.

Jenny Richardson

Assistant Practice Manager

The assistant practice manager plays an important role within the Practice and deputises for the Practice Manager in her absence. 

In addition to this role Jenny has responsibility for the Quality and Outcomes Framework and other administrative duties including recalls for Cervical Screening, Hypertension, Asthma, Diabetes etc.

Steve Tomlinson

Reception & Administration Manager

As our Reception & Administration Manager, Steve has responsibility for the smooth running of our reception and admin teams. 

Steve is an initial point of contact for the reception and admin team and organises the  appointment pages for our GP's, Nurses and Health Care Assistant. In addition to this role Steve has other administrative duties, which help in supporting the day to day management of the practice.


All of our administration staff are trained chaperones.  If you would like a chaperone to be present during an examination or consultation please let the receptionist know when you book your appointment or when you check in.


Julie is our Medicine Manager, working behind the scenes by providing support to our GP's in the processing of prescriptions to ensure the safe prescribing of medicines.  She is the main point of contact for prescription queries.


Parvin is our workflow administrator and has responsibility for coding and scanning electronic and paper documents into patients records.



Our trained receptionists provide an important link between patients and the practice.  They are your initial point of contact for general enquiries and to book appointments.

They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query.

Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses.




Our Secretaries manage the workflow of referral requests from our GP's and also deal with all private work requests.
