Routine Appointments - update - all GP appointments are telephone triage to start and the GP will offer you a face to face if they need to examine you.

To make an appointment, please telephone our receptionist desk on 01229 484100 giving as much notice as possible so that the receptionists can give an appointment. Depending on time of day you will be put onto the morning or afternoon list. If you think you will require extra time (standard appointments are for 10 minutes) please ask for a double appointment. Please note you will not be given a time but advised if Am or PM.

Limited GP Telephone appointments are available to book Online via patient access or MyGP.  (You must register at Reception to use this service -please bring photo ID such as driving licence or passport)

Urgent Problems

If you feel you need to be seen urgently by a GP during normal hours then please contact the surgery as soon as possible.  Our receptionists may need take a few details from you to assess the situation and find you a suitable appointment.

Please note that chaperones are available at all times during normal working hours. If you would like to have one present please ask either the receptionist or the doctor.

Telephone Consultations

If you feel your problem could be dealt with by a GP over the telephone then you may wish to book a routine telephone consultation.

If you would like to book a telephone consultation then, please ring during surgery hours and tell the receptionist you would like to book this.  The receptionist will take your details and your current telephone number and ask the GP to return your call. Please note, there is no set time for the GP to phone you, it may be at lunch time or in early evening.

Practice Nurses

Practice nurses are qualified to deal with many ailments and you may prefer to see them initially rather than seeing the GP.  Practice Nurses provide a number of different appointment types that can vary in duration so it it's important to let the receptionists know what type of appointment you would like at the time of booking.

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
