DR ALISON JOHNSTON
GMC 4203498 MBCHB (Dundee 1995) FRCGP, DFSRH
Dr Johnston joined the Practice in September 2012 as a salaried GP and became a partner in April 2013. Previously she was a salaried GP in Settle, North Yorkshire and a GP partner in Silloth. As well as working in the Practice, Dr Johnston is also the Clinical lead for our local Integrated Care Community (ICC) and is interested in preventative health and general wellbeing. She also attends the practice patient participation group (PPG) meetings. In her spare time, she enjoys running and Thai boxing.
DR JOHANNES RATH
GMC 4473668 Dr. Med (Hanover 1993), DCH, DRCOG
Dr Rath qualified at the Medical School of Hanover, Germany in 1992. After 4 years voluntary work in Zimbabwe he started GP training in Newcastle. After completing the training he worked for 8 years as a GP partner in Stowmarket, Suffolk. Dr Rath moved with his family to Ulverston in 2011 and joined the practice in April 2013. He became a partner in July 2013. He covers all aspects of General Practice and provides continuity of care for our patients. His special interests are dermatology, travel/tropical medicine, diabetes, minor surgery, palliative care, antenatal care and child health. Occasionally Dr Rath works for the out of hours service (CHOC) and supports St Mary's Hopsice.

Practice Manager
The practice manager is involved in managing all of the business aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology. The practice manager supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.
JENNY RICHARDSON
Assistant Practice Manager
The assistant practice manager plays an important role within the Practice and assists the Practice Manager in the smooth running of the Practice. In addition to this role Jenny has responsibility for the Quality and Outcomes Framework and other administrative duties including recalls for Cervical Screening, Hypertension, Asthma, Diabetes and annual Flu Vaccination campaigns.
KAREN TAYLOR
Patient Services Manager
As our Patient Services Manager, Karen has responsibility for the smooth running of our patient services administrator team as well as supporting the Practice Manager Karen is an initial point of contact for the administrators and organises the appointment pages for our clinicians. In addition to this role Karen has other administrative duties, which help in supporting the day to day management of the practice.
Medicine Management
JULIE SAUNDERS
Julie works along side our Pharmacists and GPs to manage our prescription process. She also actions medication requests from hospital discharges and nursing/care homes. Julie makes sure that all medication requests are issued within our practice time frames. She works alongside our in house pharmacist in carrying out medication reviews.
